Flood Risk and Susceptibility for Town Morris in Manitoba

To analyze flood risk in the Town of Morris, Manitoba, I first organized and structured the available spatial data by building a database and geodatabase using SQL and ArcGIS, ensuring that the acquired datasets could be efficiently stored, queried, and analyzed. With the data properly prepared, I applied several spatial analysis techniques, including multi-criteria analysis and hydrologic modeling, to evaluate how terrain, drainage patterns, and other environmental factors contribute to flooding in the region. These analyses were used to generate a three-dimensional representation of flood risk across the study area. To clearly communicate the results, I digitized key features and mapped the findings in ArcGIS, outlining areas of higher vulnerability. Based on the analysis, I also developed recommendations to help reduce flood risk and improve resilience for the Town of Morris.
